Positive: Loved the history of the building and how it was part of the original defensive city walls. The property itself is full of character and charm. Super cosy with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Close to all the sights and amenities.
Negative: Wasn’t a problem for ourselves but anyone with mobility problems may struggle with stairs to both entrances to the property.
Summary: Wonderfully quirky historic property, will stay again.

Positive: Fantastic quirky property, really comfortable bed and lovely to have separate lounge. Beautifully furnished. Loved being able to look out over the river and even though the river was flooded the property was still easily accessible. Location is really convenient to walk into the city.
Negative: There's no parking (although that seems to be quite common for York city centre). There is a car park a few minutes walk (£18/day when we were there).
